Welcome to the 29th AGM of ATMS

We would like to extend a warm welcome and invitation to join us at the 29th Annual General Meeting of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

This year we are heading to the sunshine to enjoy the Outrigger Twin Towns Resort in Tweed Heads.  This will be a fantastic opportunity for our members to take a break beachside, bring family and meet up with friends.

This year our theme is around “Change…Lead…Succeed”, we are very excited about sharing all of the progress that we have made, and to share with you the strategic plans and activities that we are embarking on to truly add value for our members in the next 12 months.  This is also a great opportunity to meet and chat with the new inner executive team.

We are currently facing many challenges and changing landscapes in the Natural Medicine industry, and we know how difficult this time has been for our members, however, we have made a commitment to build solid plans to ensure the association and our members stay strong, and continue to grow.

Remember the AGM day is FREE to all members, but voting is restricted to financial accredited members and life members.  To assist members we will be providing travel and accommodation assistance which you can find on the website.Prizes to the value of $10,000 will be drawn at the conclusion of the day.

Getting there

The school holiday period falls during the weekend of the AGM, so if you intend on flying we strongly recommend you do not delay booking your flights.

The closest airport to Tweed Heads is Coolangatta Airport (also known as Gold Coast Airport). It is a 15 minute drive from the airport to Tweed Heads. An alternative airport is Ballina Airport (Byron Bay Airport). It is a 45 minute drive from the airport to Tweed Heads.

Our travel manager can assist with your travel arrangements. A service charge fee of $40 per booking applies. During your registration process, you will be offered this service.

Take the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Tweed Heads with a variety of tour options on Saturday 21 September.

Whale Watching Cruise	Departing from the Coolangatta/Tweed Heads region daily. Offering a 100% guarantee that you will encounter the magical humpback whale. The cruise is for 3 hours which includes morning tea, a great commentary and loads of fun. 5 minute walk to the jetty from Outrigger Resort Time: 1:30pm – 4:30pm Cost: $85 per person
Tweed River crab catching cruise	Join us in a range of activities including fishing, yabby pumping, crab catching, bird feeding and buffet lunch. As you cruise down the Tweed River our Captain will share with you his knowledge on the local area, the cycles of the wildlife and where the fish are biting.
